One evidence-led platform
Every audience works on the same governed platform, so the offer is tailored but the foundations, safeguarding and reporting are shared.
Who we help
AVA sits behind universities, schools, the NHS and employers, access organisations and the students themselves. Each gets a tailored offer; all share one evidence-led platform.

For universities
Pilot AVA with a defined outreach or applicant cohort and see aggregate usage, readiness and admissions outcomes without adding a heavy operational burden.
Explore
For NHS and employers
Build earlier, fairer clinical and professional talent pipelines with preparation that reflects professional judgement and patient-facing values.
Explore
For access organisations
Give students one coherent preparation journey while your team keeps the relationships, safeguarding and programme narrative that make the work trusted.
Explore
For corporate philanthropy
Fund a defined cohort, track cost per outcome and give your board a clear evidence story about what changed for students without private networks.
Explore
For medical schools
Prepare future medics and dentists for selection and evaluate the journey from application to shortlist, interview and offer under admissions-safe data-sharing agreements.
Explore
For local authorities
Extend specialist admissions and careers support to the young people your statutory duties cover, with safeguarding at the centre.
Explore
For government
A safe, governed and evidence-led AI platform that supports national widening-access and workforce priorities.
ExploreOne platform, every audience
Whoever you are, you are working on the same evidence-led platform. The framing changes by sector; the foundations do not.
One platform
Every audience
Universities, schools, the NHS and employers, access partners and students all work on the same governed platform.
Tailored
By sector
The offer is shaped to each audience, but safeguarding, reporting and the student experience stay shared.
Free
At the point of use
The students who need it most reach the full platform free, funded through the partnership rather than charged to families.
Board-ready
Reporting
Each partner gets reporting fit for an evaluation team, a funder and an access board, with evidence framed honestly.
Why this matters
Universities, the NHS, access organisations and government are working on different parts of the same problem: access to selective routes still tracks background more than potential. These are public figures, each carrying its source.

16 to 24 year-olds are not in education, employment or training, the first time the total has passed one million since 2013.

The arc
From the Milburn review naming the professions a closed shop to one million young people now out of education or work, the case has been made and remade. AVA is built to be the next, measurable step.
2009
The Milburn panel found medicine and law the most socially exclusive professions, with doctors typically growing up in the best-off families of any profession.
2014
UK medical schools commit to contextual admissions, outreach and alternative routes to widen who applies and who is selected.
2019
The country's leading people remain five times more likely to have been privately educated than the population as a whole.
2025
The independent-school share of medicine entrants has fallen, yet just 5 per cent of entrants are working-class and advantaged applicants are still around 1.5 times more likely to get an offer.
2026
Youth disengagement passes one million for the first time since 2013, at an estimated cost of £125 billion a year.
Evidence review
Evaluation work tests whether structured preparation changes offer rates. Causal language requires comparator definitions, documented limits and formal review.
What every partnership shares
The offer differs by sector, but the platform underneath does not. Every partnership stands on the same four foundations.
Every audience works on the same governed platform, so the offer is tailored but the foundations, safeguarding and reporting are shared.
The students who need it most reach the full platform free at the point of use, funded through the partnership rather than charged to families.
Triple-lock moderation, logging and clear safeguarding escalation run on every input path, because the users are 16 to 18.
Each partner gets reporting fit for an evaluation team, a funder and an access board, with the evidence framed honestly.
What partners say
“We came in as a university outreach team, but the value was seeing the same platform serve the schools and charities we already work with. One join-up instead of four tools.”
Outreach partnerships lead
University widening access team
“The fact that the student experience and safeguarding are identical across every audience is what let us recommend it across a whole trust, not just one school.”

Multi-academy trust
“For us the appeal was a workforce pipeline that starts earlier and fairer, with measurement we can actually report against. The shared evidence base does the heavy lifting.”
