Safeguarding by design

Built safe for under-18s

Students are 16 to 18, so safeguarding sits in the architecture. Every input path is moderated, age-appropriate, logged and escalated to a named lead when it matters.

Student inputs pass through layered moderation before any AI response. Concerning patterns are caught early, not after the fact.

Age-appropriate by default

The product is built for 16 to 18 year olds. Content, tone and access are tuned for that age group, and access is restricted overnight to protect vulnerable users.

Logged and auditable

Inputs and responses are logged so a safeguarding concern can be reviewed and a partner can satisfy its own audit and assurance duties.

Escalation to a named lead

Serious concerns suspend the session and escalate to a designated safeguarding lead. The route is clear and the responsibility never falls through a gap.
